You have seen some sneak peeks of Miss O....but I couldn't leave out her adorable big brother and big sister.

I can not lie...Mom and I had to work for this one (big sister smashed her finger before we got started...but the promise of a"bubble party" and a cookie saved the day.  Yes...bubbles are one of my secret weapons.)

Hampton Roads Mother's Day Giveaway

I have had this idea for a giveaway roaming around in my head for a long time now, but to be honest I have been so busy that I haven't had the time to get started.  Today I read two different blogs (written by mothers) about young ones who have gone onto heaven and I was empowered by their strength.

As I read through the many blog posts, with tears rolling down my face, I was drawn to the countless images.  While the words written helped tell the story, the images captured the essence and the memories.  Behind those images I couldn't help to think that in the mist of this emotional time there stood a mother with her camera doing everything she could to preserve the story of her child’s life.  As a mother, I have great respect for their strength, love, and dedication.  

So I told myself today…I am not going to let this just be an idea any longer.  It is time to act! 

I have had the privilege of meeting some incredible mother's through my business.  Mother's that endure LONG deployments, mother's who take in ailing family members, mothers who have suffered job loss, divorce…my list could go on and on.  I am sure that all of you could say, “I know some incredible mom's who inspire me and have made me a better mom.”  I know that I can!

Mother's Day is a few months away, but I want to start putting this giveaway together now and need some help.  I would love to give a mom (and her family of course) a FREE session, but I would also love to give them more, so I am looking for anyone who would like to help me give a mother an extra special Mother’s Day.  

Once I have put everything together I will announce the details, but in the meantime please pass this on to anyone who you think might want to donate.

"G" Family: Virginia Beach Family Photographer

The "G" Family contacted me last year about booking a "Cherish" Session.  We scheduled a session, but had to reschedule and were finally able to set a new date.  Thankfully we got it in right before Dad had to leave on a deployment.  Since I knew Dad would be gone for a while...I wanted to make sure that I spent extra time capturing him with each of his adorable children AND his beautiful wife.

Please say an extra prayer for this family as they count down the days until Daddy is home.  In the meantime, I hope these images will bring happy memories.  I have had the opportunity to photograph these children a couple of times and have grown absolutely fond of this family.

I have had a difficult time keeping up with my blog.  My husband has been working VERY late and although I have been told by family and friends that I am "Superwoman" for some reason my super powers haven't figured out how to compose a blog post :)
